Will my loft be suitable for a conversion?

Not all lofts are suitable for a conversion but the best way to find out is to arrange a free no obligation visit. One of our loft specialists will be able to study the area and confirm if it would be suitable.

What type of loft conversions can you provide?

We provide …

• Boarding of existing ceiling joists / place skylight windows
• Shell conversions – this is sometimes referred to as a half conversion were we will take it up to the insulation point
• Full conversions – Complete decorated spaces

Is Building Regs approval needed?

Yes, every loft conversion used for actual living space (i.e. bedroom) must have this approval. It can take several weeks before approval is received, however as long as the correct information is supplied to the building regs, approval will always be given. It does mean that work can commence before the approval has been received on the understanding that work is carried out at the owners’ risk. Planning permission is a separate area and will only be required when building Dormers.

Are you insured?

Yes we have full Public Liability insurance up to £2 million

When could you start?

We would aim to commence work within 1 month of agreeing a quote but does depend on the complexity of the conversion.

How long would the work take?

From 1 – 5 weeks. This would depend on the complexity of the conversion and the requirements of the customer.

What would it cost me?

It all depends on the complexity of the conversion. The best way for us to confirm the cost is for our loft specialist to visit your property and discuss your requirements. Once this has been done a detailed quote would be sent to you within 5 working days.

*Architect drawings, structural calculations and council fees are not included within our quote. We have a recommended architect who will charge you directly. We do however communicate with him on your behalf at no extra cost.

Any additional work required that is not included within our written quote will be discussed and charged accordingly

Will I get exactly what I want?

Most of the time – yes, however we do ask our customers to be flexible throughout the process.

Do you have a show loft we can visit?

Yes we do – just let us know when you would like to visit one and we can arrange that for you.
